For this program, the class will be learning through literature and hands-on lessons. Colors, counting, basic and complex shapes, and writing are emphasized. The children will be having weekly readers and show and tell. Homework will be handed out bi-weekly, with the children being responsible for handing in assignments to the teacher.
Your child will be evaluated thrice throughout the year. A parent-teacher conference follows each evaluation period, with one of them being mandatory.
Here’s a list of supplies that you will be asked to bring if your child is enrolled in this program. Make sure to label each item with your child’s name:
- A glue stick
- A homework folder
- A change of clothes－socks, pants, shorts, shirts, and etc.－suitable for the season
- A travel-sized pillow that can fit in a cubby and a small sheet or blanket to cover the mat with for nap/quiet time
- A backpack for extra clothes, shoes, and lovies
- A family photo and an individual photo of your child
